BREAKFAST PUNCH CARDS

Greeting Lancers and Lancer parents-

We are off to a good start to our school year. I want to make you aware of one change to our breakfast option. Students will now need to purchase a breakfast punch card in the office to buy breakfast items instead of applying these directly to TADS. In addition, to purchase the punch cards, students will need to use either cash or a card. They can't buy the punch card with TADS funds. Students will have the option to either keep their own card or have our food service workers keep it for them to avoid losing it.

The purpose of this change is that we encountered an issue last year with students accumulating a large debt without parents realizing it. Additionally, it is a time-consuming process for our office staff to enter those transactions. If this works well, we may explore other ways to move away from TADS for smaller purchases. Our general rule for TADS is that parents need to "sign off" on purchases; however, we have some exceptions to this at this time.

D. Uhlhorn

Thank you for your attention to this change.  To keep you informed, the items the students can purchase are listed in the link below along with other info on the hot lunch and breakfast programs.
