The Lancer Express - April 1, 2025

Lancer Gala another HUGE success!

The second annual Lancer Gala was a tremendous success! It took place at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, a venue known for its beautiful surroundings and engaging exhibits that celebrate agriculture and the rural lifestyle. The choice of location added a unique charm to the evening, making it not just an event but an experience that guests would remember fondly.

The evening was fantastic, with a remarkable turnout of 239 attendees, all of whom gathered to support a worthy cause. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie as individuals from various backgrounds came together for a common purpose. Contributions poured in from over 140 organizations and businesses, showcasing a strong community spirit. These generous donations included a wide array of items and gift cards, ranging from luxurious spa packages and gourmet dining experiences to unique local crafts and adventure excursions. Each item represented the generosity of local businesses and their commitment to supporting our mission.

For the first time in the history of the Lancer Gala, we implemented an innovative online bidding system for our silent auction. This allowed participants who could not attend the event in person to engage in the auction from the comfort of their homes. The inclusion of online bidding expanded our reach and ensured that even those unable to join us physically could still contribute and compete for exciting auction items. This new feature was a resounding success, as we saw several auction winners who participated remotely, demonstrating the effectiveness of modern technology in enhancing our fundraising efforts.

Moreover, it is worth noting that every single auction item was bid on and sold, which speaks volumes about the enthusiasm and generosity of our attendees. The competitive spirit of the bidding, both in-person and online, created an exhilarating atmosphere that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. As the night progressed, the excitement built, culminating in a thrilling conclusion where bidders eagerly awaited the final call for each item. The success of the auction not only raised significant funds for our cause but also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose among all participants.

We are blessed to announce that we exceeded our $125,000 goal for the evening to support updating our security by adding Everalert Security Systems. We will have a finalized number in the days to come after all the numbers have been crunched. We simply cannot say 'thank you' enough to all of our supporters, donors, sponsors, contributors, committee members, and staff from Farm Wisconsin and our students for making this night possible. God truly has blessed our school!
