MLHS FINE ARTS NEWSLETTER - NOVEMBER 2024
Fall Play—You Can’t Take It With You
Come to MLHS for our exciting fall play You Can’t Take It With You on November 8-10! Sweetnatured Alice Sycamore falls for banker’s son Tony Kirby. But when she invites her snooty prospective in-laws to dinner to give their blessing to the marriage, Alice’s peculiar extended family— including philosophical grandfather Martin Vanderhof, hapless fledgling ballerina sister Essie, and fireworks enthusiast father Paul—might be too eccentric for the Kirby family. Christmas Parades
The band students are working hard to prepare for two local Christmas parades and would love to see you cheering along the parade routes! The Manitowoc Christmas Parade is at 6:30pm on Wednesday, November 27 in downtown Manitowoc. The Two Rivers Christmas Parade is at 5:30pm on Saturday, November 30 in downtown TR. These parades take lots of help! Alumni are always welcome to come back to assist, but we also love seeing current families get involved. Sign up to help in a variety of ways for either or both parades!

He pushes himself to be his best musically and is an excellent servant leader in our program.

NOVEMBER 2024 FINE ARTS SCHEDULE
Lancer Singer & Jazz Band Tour Recap
On October 22 and 23, Lancer Singers and Jazz Band had the privilege of visiting 5 of our Lakeshore Lutheran Schools: Immanuel, First German, St. John’s-Two Rivers, St. Paul’sAlgoma, and St. Peter’s-Sturgeon Bay. The groups performed a few songs and talked about the many activities available to students at MLHS. They also had the opportunity to greet students, pass out candy, and even share some recess time with a couple schools. This was the third year of this tour, which means we have officially visited all of our Lakeshore Lutheran Schools and will restart the 3-year rotation next year.
