Support MLHS Track & Field - Sunflower Sale 2024

Lancer Nation, beautiful sunflowers are now available for purchase to raise funds to extend the new MLHS practice track. Did you know that MLHS has never had a track to use for their track and field practices? A 4-lane, 100m straightaway was installed this summer, but the hope is to extend this to a 200m curved track as originally planned. Presale of sunflowers can be made online HERE for $1 per flower.

Former MLHS track parent, Laurel (Sickinger) Den Heijer and her husband, Chris, have very graciously donated the harvest of their 1.8 acre sunflower field on Hwy. 310 as a fundraiser for extending the MLHS practice track to become a 200m long curved track.

The approx. 30,000 (!) sunflowers are ready and we need our track families (both students and parents) and supporters to help us harvest and sell as many of them as we can! Our track team and supporters will be picking the sunflowers this Friday and Saturday; any help with this would be much appreciated! Please sign up to help by clicking HERE.

We also need many 5-gallon pails and approx. 20 sharp, manually-operated hedge or pruning shears to get the job done! There are time slots below for harvesting (Friday and Saturday) and also time slots for sales (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Please contact Ann Winter at 920-629-2430 with any questions.

Pickup of orders take place at MLHS, you choose the time for pickup when you place your order. Thank you so much for considering and supporting the MLHS Track & Field program!
