On Friday night, the Lancers lost a close one to Big East North opponent, Cedar Grove-Belgium by a score of 49-43. The Lancers found themselves down at halftime 26-17. They were able to cut the deficit to within 3 points late in the game, but ended up losing by 6. Fukasawa was the leading scorer again with 15 points, and sophomore Noah Czarneski was close behind with 13 points. Hecker had 8 rebounds, while sophomores Noah Lukasek and Czarneski both registered 7 rebounds each. Hecker also contributed 5 assists.

Last week JV1 (3-4) beat Roncalli, but lost to Cedar-Grove-Belgium. Our boys JV2 team (2-4) lost by 1 point to Roncalli, and also lost to CGB.

The Lancers (2-5, 1-4 Big East North) have a Big East matchup on Monday night (TONIGHT) at home against the Zephyrs from St. Mary Catholic (6-1, 4-1 Big East North). JV2 starts the night off at 4:30pm, followed by JV1 at approximately 5:50pm, and varsity at 7:15pm.

Then next week over Christmas break, the Lancer boys varsity team will have two holiday tournament non-conference games, against Kiel and New Holstein. Coach Scott Loberger anticipates being at full strength for the first time this year at that time. We travel to Random Lake on Wednesday to take on Kiel (6-1) for a 5pm game, and then travel to Kiel Thursday for a 5pm game against New Holstein (1-6).

Have a blessed Merry Christmas!
